When it is not
n8n needs somewhere to run and someone who understands it. If your team wants pure drag-and-drop with zero hosting questions, Make.com is often the better fit, and if your business lives in Microsoft 365, Power Automate is usually the path of least resistance. We will tell you which applies before any build starts.
Common questions
Do I need to host n8n myself?
No. n8n offers a cloud version, and we also set up and manage self-hosted instances for clients who want control over costs and data. We run our own production instance self-hosted, so the advice comes from experience rather than documentation.
Is n8n better than Zapier or Make?
Better for some businesses, not others. n8n wins on complex logic, self-hosting and cost at volume. Zapier and Make win on simplicity for light workflows. The honest answer depends on your processes, which is what the free consultation is for.
